How We Acquired Our New Building and Property

AlhamodliAllah, by the Will of Allah subhanaho wa tala, we were able to find this wonderful location and property on Merritt Island as the future home of Masjid Al Furqan. Since 1997, we have resided as a small musalah in a medical center off of Courtaney Parkway. After years and years searching and trying to obtain a suitable location, we were finally guided by Allah subhanaho wa tala to 190 Grant Road on Merritt Island.

The existing church property was originally put on the market for $900,000.00 and after being on the market for some time, the price was reduced to $600,000.00. We had exactly 2 months once we put our offer down to purchase the property. We managed with the will of Allah subhanaho wa tala to raise $200,000.00 in donations and able to secure $400,000.00 in Islamic loans from various brothers who so generously gave their support and contribution. With these Islamic loans came the promise of re-paying them within one year's time. Since closing on the property on November 2007, we now have only 8 months left to fulfill this obligation. InshAllah every dollar counts towards obtaining this goal and helping to make this project a true success.
